It’s a must to eat your way through Kraków. Poland isn’t just the land of cheap vodka, but cheap food too. Think burger and fries for around five euros (or about 20 Polish Zloty).
Luckily, I had some awesome guidance from a few friends on my trip who took me to a few of their favorite spots to eat in Kraków.
CHARLOTTE: On your way to Rynek (Old Town) stop by the French style bistro. It’s the perfect place to start your day. Try one of their delicious sandwiches or keep it simple with a coffee and croissant. They make their own bread and jam in-house. Onto Warsaw after Krakow? Charlotte has another location there too!
STARA ZAJEZDNIA: Kraków’s microbrewery is located in the Jewish quarter. Exceptional service and great beer, you can watch them brew it inside! If you get the chance to go to Kraków when the weather is warm, they have great outdoor seating.
HAWELKA: You can’t go to Poland without eating pierogis, or potato pancakes for that matter. I try to stray away from anything near the center, but the restaurant has authentic Polish cuisine.
PIJALNIA CZEKOLADY: If you still have room to eat more, find delicious desserts here. There’s no wrong option. Soufflés to truffles, something chocolate should be your main choice. Easter time showed off their chocolate craftsmanship with giant carved eggs and bunnies.
